In clinical discourse studies, many research traditions, and therefore many traditions of notation and transcribing practice, meet (and sometimes clash).

In chapter 7, we raise questions about the way people with dementia are treated within society, and further, we examine how individuals with dementia attempt to construct a coherent version of self within their daily interactions.
